Privacy Notice for scita.health
Last Updated: 18 October 2026
Who we are
Scita Health ApS (CVR 46117131), Copenhagen, Denmark, is responsible for this website, for its sign-up form, for what you send us when you write about your own experience, and for the free account for the meno map. You can reach us at hello@scita.health.
What this website collects
Three things.
Server logs, kept by our hosting provider Vercel to keep the site running and secure: your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. We process this on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and operational. Logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to track or identify you.
If you sign up on our form, the details you type in: your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name, and which of its three choices you ticked: the waitlist, our publication "She knows. She acts." by email, and being asked about research. Nothing else. The form does not ask about your health and does not have a free-text box. The form talks to our sign-up system from our server, so it sets no tracking cookies in your browser.
If you make a free account for the meno map, here at scita.health/meno or on the map itself at meno.scita.health, the details set out under "The free account for the meno map" below.
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you, and none of the forms on this website collects health information.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your email address for what you chose. If you joined the waitlist, to tell you when Scita opens and to send occasional updates about Scita. If you ticked "She knows. She acts.", to email you each new issue. If you ticked research, to ask you now and then about research you could take part in, such as a questionnaire or a clinical study with our research partners. Each study asks for its own consent; your tick only means we may ask.
We do each of these only with your consent, which you give by ticking its box. The boxes are separate and none is pre-ticked, and we record when you ticked each one and which version of the words you agreed to.
You can withdraw any of them at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or simply by replying to it, or by writing to hello@scita.health. Withdrawing does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew.
Who processes it for us
The sign-ups are held in HubSpot, which processes your details on our behalf under its data processing agreement. Our HubSpot account is set to EU data hosting. HubSpot may still access or process data outside the EU when it needs to in order to provide the service, including in the United States; HubSpot states that such transfers are covered by its participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses built into its agreement. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.
HubSpot holds your name, your email address and the choices you ticked, and nothing more. We never put anything about anyone's health into HubSpot, and the form has no way to collect it.
Our emails to you, the waitlist confirmation, the issues of "She knows. She acts." and any question about research, and, for the meno account, the sign-in link and any updates, are sent from our Google Workspace mailbox through n8n, the service that runs our automated workflows. Google and n8n process them on our behalf under their data processing agreements. Our Google Workspace account keeps its data in the EU. Google may still process data outside the EU when it needs to in order to provide the service, including in the United States; Google states that such transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details. When you unsubscribe we stop sending immediately and keep only a note that you opted out, so we never contact you again by mistake. If you want your details deleted entirely, email hello@scita.health and we will do it without undue delay, and within one month at the latest.
The free account for the meno map
If you make a free account for the map at meno.scita.health, on the map itself or here at scita.health/meno, we keep your email address, your country, your preferred language and your confirmation that you are 18 or over; the dates you made the account, confirmed it with the link in your email and last signed in; how you found the map, as a category only (for example LinkedIn, a search engine or one of our own links), never the address of the page you came from; and which version of this notice applied when you made it. The account has a personal code that opens the whole map.
If you tick the box to stay updated, we also keep your consent: which version of the words you agreed to, when you ticked the box and when you confirmed it with the link in your email. We keep every version of those words, so that we can always show what you agreed to.
We use them to sign you in and keep the account working, and, if you ticked the box, to send you updates on menopause and beyond, in your language when we can. The account rests on providing the service you asked for; the updates rest on your consent. The box is not pre-ticked, and the account works the same without it.
A sign-in link works once, for 30 minutes. Its record in our database is removed in our daily clean-up once it is 24 hours old. An account that is never confirmed with a link is deleted after a week. To keep you signed in, we store your personal code in your browser for 30 days, unless you sign out.
Unsubscribing, with the link in any update or by replying to it, stops the updates and keeps your account, with a note that you unsubscribed, so that they stay stopped. We keep the account until you ask us to delete it: write to hello@scita.health from the address the account is under, and we will delete it, with everything above, without undue delay and within one month at the latest. We act on a request about an account only when it comes from that address, so that no one else can see or delete it.
We do not keep a record of what you read against your account. Whether you are signed in or not, the map counts visits and page views by day, page and site, and by which of our own links led to the visit, with nothing that identifies you. Your personal code keeps two counts, so that its limits work: how many times it has been used and, once the map's research chat opens, how many questions were asked with it that day. The chat's questions and answers are kept apart from the account, without your code, for 90 days, as the chat itself explains.
The account is held in our database at Xano, which hosts it for us in the EU and processes it on our behalf under its data processing agreement. Xano names subprocessors of its own outside the EU, including in the United States, so some processing may take place there; Xano states that its agreement includes the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The sign-in emails and any updates go out as set out under "Who processes it for us". Nothing about your health is kept with the account, and nothing about the account goes to HubSpot.
If you write to us about your own experience
Each issue of "She knows. She acts." invites you to write to us at hello@scita.health if its story has been yours, or someone close to you. What you send may include information about your health or someone else's. We ask you to leave out names and anything else that could identify you or another person.
We read what you send to understand what women go through and to choose what our next issues explain. We use it for nothing else, on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by writing to us after reading this. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your message.
We never publish your words, or any detail that could point to you, without asking you first and getting your yes, and you decide whether your name goes with them. Writing to us does not put you on any list, and nothing you send goes into HubSpot. Your message stays in our Google Workspace mailbox, set out under "Who processes it for us", and we delete it within 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, have them deleted, restrict how we use them, object, or receive the details you gave us in a common, machine-readable format to take elsewhere. Write to hello@scita.health. We answer without undue delay, and within one month at the latest. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), or to the data protection authority where you live, such as the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) in Sweden.
What this notice covers
It covers this website, its sign-up form, what you send us when you write about your own experience, and the free account for the meno map. Scita itself, when it opens, has its own privacy notice, which you will see and agree to before you share anything about your health. Nothing about your health is collected through the forms on this website.
